I had tickets to Hamilton! In Sydney! And now Sydney is going into two weeks of lockdown, because the government of NSW are a bunch of mealy-mouthed conservative pissants who refused to take decisive action on the pandemic when it would have actually helped! So guess who's not going to see Hamilton?

Oh man, that sucks. I'm sorry, OP, I would be pissed, too. Hopefully they'll extend the run so you can see it when the local lockdown ends.

Yesterday started off bad, since I only got two hours of sleep last night. But it turned out to be an amazing day. I got 15 boxes unpacked, including a whole bunch of books. And then I got an email about a job interview, and they ended up interviewing me in the late afternoon. It went really well. So excited about that.

Right now I'm tired because I just woke up from a horrific nightmare and don't want to go back to sleep right away.

Just woke up. It is storming here. I have to go get my TSA precheck application done today.

The dog is bugging me to take him out, but he was just out less than an hour ago. Chances are he's just bored and restless, or he's seen a squirrel he wants to go chase. Probably. I just get sick of taking him out AGAIN and I want to go back to sleep but I feel guilty.

But if I take h out, he starts thinking that oh, it's OK to do this every day even though I don't really have to go potty and THAT IS NOT OK.

I don't know how it's going yet, I just woke up. :D

But yesterday I made a lot of progress on getting the shed doors together (no more outdoor family project because it's been pouring rain since Wednesday night when we stopped because it was about to be pouring rain and all hat was left was the doors), and during a window in the rain took a walk that was more of a WADE around the trails in the park, and my dust mite mitigation measures are definitely making a difference, so I will probably be doing more bathroom clearing out and cleaning today...

And honestly I kind of like the satisfaction of having a really clean space (too bad I don't have the spoons to do it to my whole house), so that's almost fun except the cleaning chemicals make breathing hard. And aside from the blisters on my thumbs from screwdrivers, putting the shed together is DEFINITELY fun - it's like gunpla but actually useful, hahah.

Felt generally crappy yesterday and only managed to leave the house in the evening. I'm assuming my hormones are fucking with my brain again, so probably have a period coming up, yay.

I'm also worried because my chest pain that my doc refused to run tests for --"change your purse, exercise more, eat less" is back, so that's fun. I know I'm an anxious mess, but if I'm at high risk for heart trouble and strokes because of my weight, blood-pressure, and bloodwork, I would like not to die because I refuse to starve myself and become a weight lifter or whatever.

Especially because one of the reasons he gave for not running tests is that I'm a long term vegetarian nonsmoker who walks 7 miles a day. But I'm fat so no tests unless I go to the ER.

The only time I ended up there for myself as an adult I'd come in with my dying mom, and late that night my vision tunneled, I started pouring sweat, had sharp chest pains, and collapsed at the nurses' station when my blood pressure dropped like a rock--someone got the cuff on me when they realized I'd left a puddle of sweat on the counter and I was sort of conscious when they took me back down to the ER. Tests came back negative. Whatever this is, it's not the same I don't think, because I'm not sweaty or collapsing all the time.

Didn't get my miles in but I did make a start on cleaning gross ex-produce out of the fridge and at least the compost pile is well-fed now, plus I got some groceries and lugged my clothes to the laundromat. Then I hung out with the kitten my roommate keeps saying she's going to rehome but it's been two weeks.

Roommate is out of town visiting friends. On the one hand, I wish I had some, and on the other hand I feel like I don't have enough time to be a good friend, because executive dysfunction eats up so much of my time.

Just woke up after staying up until 2 am reading Six of Crows--everyone's right, it's much better than Shadow and Bone. I need to not start books at 8 pm, even if I have the next day off. Still not interested in the show, though.

I saw that the FS post was up last night/this morning but was exhausted so just conked out.

I hope I get more done today, but I'm gonna need a nap to make up for staying up so late. I wish I was one of those lucky people who only need 4 hours of sleep to be healthy and alert, but not as much as I wish my executive function actually functioned.

Re: Six of Crows - Glad you like it! Having read the rest of the Grishaverse books (King of Scars and Rule of Wolves) I still think Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom are the best, though KoS and RoW are better than the Shadow and Bone books. And I enjoyed watching the show for the brief glimpse of the Crows crew, but it made me a little sad that not everything was about them. Excellent casting though, especially for Kaz.

It's going okay! It rained briefly this afternoon but the sun's come back out and it's lovely. And because it's a weekend, I also didn't get out of bed until my trusty toy gave me at least four orgasms in an hour so I am feeling good. :D
