(Anonymous) 2021-06-28 12:52 am (UTC)(link)I like big universes with lots of different worldbuilding. I like when things reference other things. I like when there are all the separate parts, but then they all come together eventually. I like sticking with one universe and immersing myself in all of it.

(Anonymous) 2021-06-28 01:06 am (UTC)(link)I don't think I'm quite as ride-or-die as you are. Like, I'm feeling only mildly invested in the MCU now that Tony and Steve are gone, and I have no idea how much I'll keep following the new movies as they come out.
But in general, yeah, I prefer big, long, sprawling series with lots of room in them to explore and learn new things as you go. I don't think I'm capable of getting truly fannish about a single movie, tbh. There's just not enough grist for my brain to grind there.

(Anonymous) 2021-06-28 01:13 am (UTC)(link)Totally yes to only fandoming big universe things. Whether it is movies, tv, or books, I really only get invested (other than the rare exception) when the thing is big with lot of characters and lots of different parts to it.
