Whenever I hear about a celebrity going through something bad, I always think to myself, “I’d still rather be you than me.” Especially if what they’re going through is related to them being a celebrity and couldn’t happen to a normal person.

Counterpoint: last night I discovered that one of the actresses from Jawbreaker (and probably some other stuff) hit and killed a nine-year-old kid with her car. I have a sad-sack life but I'd still rather be me than her. :/

Dylan O'Brien had some pretty serious injuries from an on-set stunt gone wrong.

Jim Caviezel was struck by lightning among other injuries while filming The Passion of the Christ.

Melanie Griffith was mauled by a lion during filming for Roar.

Theresa Saldana was stabbed multiple times by an obsessed fan.

Rebecca Schaeffer was shot and killed at 21 by an obsessed fan.

I don't know, I can't think about celebrities who have nudes or sex tapes leaked without cringing for them. Certainly wouldn't want to be in that position.

For me the only good thing about being a celebrity would be the money. I'd say the looks, too, but not all of them are good looking.

AYRT--yep. I would love to be one of those people who anonymously drops hundreds of thousands, or millions, of dollars anonymously to Planned Parenthood and voting rights and animal welfare organizations and stuff. Donating $20 just isn't the same.

And it would be fun to be able to indulge weird hobbies and harmless whims up to "I think I'd like this character's entire designer wardrobe" and "why move to the tropics when I can have a climate controlled greenhouse in my backyard?" without having to sell all my organs.
