Tiktok --- I was indifferent to the platform before but now I'm addicted to the vids.

Air Traffic Control audio for emergency landings, funny airport moments, and just unusually airport things.

Those instrumental POV videos on YouTube titled stuff like “You’re the hero waltzing with the villain” and “Crying with your comfort character”. They make really good background music.

Oh, and BTS. I’ve really gotten into BTS lately.

I've been binging on those playlists too!

I love some of those! Like "Barrett's Privateers but you're a broken man on a Halifax peer" I love ones that use the setting of the song to compliment the song.

Lego. I started building them again last year and now I'm obsessed with the modular buildings.

Gábor Balossa is a living legend and there are other fab designers out there like Stephen St Pierre (Ste-Bricks) and Sam Turner. Gábor doesn’t make or sell instructions but the other two do if you want to add some less common buildings to your city.

Thanks for the recs. I like unusual buildings (just finished the Ninjago city gardens) and any inspiration is definitely welcome.

Stop-motion paper animation of things like "wash and feed the baby panda" and "give the generic character a makeover into a Disney character". Compared to most of my interests, this is...still weird as fuck.

Lately I've been obsessing over music. Rather than watching things, most of my free time is spent listening to music on Youtube. All kinds. Lots of soundtracks and trailer music (including a couple new composers I just discovered like Phil Rey Gibbons), Viking and Norse and Celtic music, all sorts of modern genres, classic songs, songs on specific themes like justice or warriors, and one day last week I just listened to Christmas music.

I want to play numbers stations in the background while I read!

Wizards. Just the general aesthetic of the whole old man with a beard and cool moon n' star hat, especially of the 70's/80's variety. Love cruising around Etsy and eBay for related stuff.

Woah, me too! I've just bought a brass wizard ornament for my desk. He's so cool. Just love wizards for some reason.

I've started crocheting with plarn, or yarn made from plastic bags, for camping mats and things.

Cutting the bags and making the yarn is so tactile-ly satisfying.

I reread fics more than books.

I reread books more than fics. I like reading physical books and that’s not really possible with a fic unless I print it out.

I reread books more than fics for the most part, but I have a handful of favorite fics I reread bits of almost as often as I reread favorite books.

I guess that's the difference, when rereading fics I often just read favorite sections over; with books I'll go through the whole thing.

I reread both a lot, it is more that I reread specific favorites of each category the most. I'd say the things I reread the absolute most are one-shot darkfic or PWPs or my favorite book sex scenes. Then after that the next thing I reread the most are my favorite fantasy books and epic long fanfics.

I listen to audio books while I work/do chores and so I re-listen to books regularly. Often just because I was interrupted half a dozen times so i might have missed something. I read fics most especially because they are so short and easy to fit into my spare time. I reread fics on occasion, but it isn't a regular thing.

It's pretty rare for me to reread either fanfic or published books but it's probably fairly even down the line as far as what I reread more or less of.

I reread fics more than books, but I rarely reread either. I reread books up until I was in my late teens and then I just stopped wanting to. I reread fanfic a lot until I was early-to-mid twenties and then I mostly stopped wanting to.

Now, I occasionally reread a fic, if it's short, or if it's been a long time since I last read it (like seven or eight years at least), but other than that I basically never do.

I do have the reading speed of the average eighth grader, though, so that's probably part of it. (My ability to read and comprehend challenging material is solid, it's just my speed that's super low and always has been.)

I'm closer to rereading fics than rereading books, in fact fic might be the only form of media I go back to multiple times.

I reread fic every day. My kindle has all my favourites on and I read it before I sleep.
