This unchurchly one was very surprised to find out Steve Taylor was a Christian rock artist. "Wait, they played him on Dr. Demento! And what's more, he didn't suck!"

I didn't know he was on Dr. Demento! Makes sense though - his writing is incredibly witty and he has great comic delivery. To this day anytime someone says the phrase "the children of Israel", my brain mentally follows it with "...And most of the adults." :D

Yeah, "I Want to Be a Clone" and "Meltdown at Madame Tussaud's" both got airplay there.

Meltdown is a classic, and frankly it has a universal message about celebrity culture that can be easily divorced from religion and still be relevant. Especially relevant today!
