Re: SPOILERS for episode 5

The show definitely seems to be heavily implying your theme to be fair. And perhaps “our” Loki will come to some sort of realisation earlier but I’m not sure I like that idea as I do kinda like him being ambiguous rather than 100% good or evil.

That said I did love that with Classic Loki’s look anyone familiar with the comics would expect a cackling straight up baddie and he…was the total opposite to that. It was nice. I loved what REG did with so little screen time.

I tend to overthink MCU stuff, so I'm half expecting a Loki to look dead at the camera and say "I need to be true to myself!" and then betray everyone and fail at everything. I feel like TV will subvert the expectation that Loki could grow by having him be exactly the same and consider themselves clever. He doesn't have to be 100% good to occasionally not betray people. If anything it allows the possibility that his betrayal would actually hurt people as be the assumed outcome like it always is.

Classic Loki is so great. Kid Loki was shockingly bad ass. Alligator Loki was a straight up BAMF. Like, how much would I rather be watching these guys than this random love story (???) thing we've got going on.

I overthink it too anon, and I'm so used to being disappointed with how they handle Loki in the MCU that I am just...cautiously optimistic that they'll not suddenly undo all the character development we've had in the show because *drama* or something.

Really not feeling any romance with Loki ("our" Loki) atm because I think he needs to accept himself a lot more first. But I'm especially ??? with the Sylvie thing because it just feels weird to me. Personally I can't get beyond the technically being the same person thing but considering people ship him with Thor (which I'm also not a fan of) and Loki is a bit in love with himself at times, I'm not surprised it has an audience.

But I would've definitely been on board with more adventures with all the Lokis. 6 episodes doesn't seem enough for the amount of character beats they've rattled through.

The weird selfcest thing just isnt working for me. Shame as the rest of the series is so good!
