+1 for Princess Silver.

It also had some really good female supportive characters who I wished the writers had expanded upon a little more. They had their own dreams and beliefs and their plots mostly didn't revolve around getting the guy or being in constant competition with the female protagonist. It even subverted the typical female rival trope at one point.
