Waaaaaaaaait, is being unable to hear the lyrics to a song unless you look up/read the lyrics considered a form of auditory processing disorder? I just thought my brain just couldn't do that.

I just thought it was because of poor hearing (my hearing is getting pretty bad) or because the singer was mumbling too much while the rest of the song was too loud.

It can be! It can also be due to poor quality sound output, an unfamiliar accent or language, other distractions going on while you listen...there's lots of possibilities, and you rule out the other ones first.

(For example I have horribly wrong versions of most mainstream songs from the late 80s/early 90s, but that's because I heard them on the tiny, crappy speaker of the school bus.)
