There is no way to realistically cast actors as Austen heroines because most actors look like they take more than two baths a year.

I assume you are joking, but for everyone else...it's not like people only washed twice a year. They just took sponge baths as opposed full immersion baths.

Unfortunately, people think it's clever/funny to keep passing around myths about how everyone only bathed once or twice a year, or how medieval people disguised rotten meat with spices, etc.
