The last of my empathy for the folks struggling with drug addictions and homelessness finally died yesterday. I know I'm supposed to be kinder. But this methed-up couple came in, and the guy pretended to fall and hurt himself so I'd be distracted in "helping" him, while his girlfriend stole some shit from the counter while my back was turned.

I'm revolted at this point. I don't trust anyone that "looks homeless" anymore and I won't help anyone ever again. It's beyond disheartening to reach out a hand and have it bitten over and over again.
