Don't worry, if teenagers transition it's usually if they are 16 or older, with the consent of their parents and after several consultations with knowledgeable doctors. Maybe they shouldn't have to think about possible infertility or other side effects, but these effects have to be weighed up against the experience of living with and maybe going through puberty in a body that is wrong for (and perhaps downright damaging to) them, and that will make any later changes much more encompassing and difficult. Thankfully, we are able to help people delay their puberty to give them more time to decide what is best for them, and that process is also totally reversible, which allows those who may wish it to save their eggs/sperm for later. I'm glad that you care, but it will hopefully ease your mind to know that these procedures are well researched and not something anyone is rushed into.
