+1. I could only tell it was dark from the way teh actors acted like it was dark because everything has basically the same lighting.

I haven't watched the most recent season because season 2 was a disappointment. I really think its moment has passed and it can be done, especially since the child actors have grown so much in five years. They're practically ready to go to college now.

I dunno. Considering it's set in 'now', I don't think what's been going on 'now' should have a *huge* effect on it; that would be odd, to me.

It has been forever, though.

I feel like the wave has mostly passed. They didn't work fast enough especially with the child stars.

ST really should have been an anthology series. Maybe with a few characters that connect stories but something different every season.

On the one hand, I agree.

On the other hand, by the end of S3 the show had lost pretty much all of its momentum for me anyway. I barely had any interested in S4 then. The fact that it now feels well and truly like a thing that's in the past is just the final nail in the coffin for me.

I completely disagree! I want to see Stranger Things 4 even though it's been too long between seasons (but that's not their fault). I have no desire to be in 2020 or 2021; I want to forget this crappy year, I wanna forget this pandemic! I will gladly return to whatever 1980's year in which S4 is set!
As for the kids aging rapidly, well, what can you do. It happens. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
