I just saw a Tumblr post complaining that Game of Thrones is unwatchable in dark scenes because you can’t see what’s going on. It compared Lord of the Rings, where the light “comes from the same place as the music” and you can always see what’s happening.

I remember in the last season there was a big scene that almost nobody could tell what was happening for that exact reason. I chalk it up to the lack of quality control in the last season because I don't remember people complaining about that in either seasons.

The light comming from “the same place as the music” is my second favorite quote from a movie commentary track ever!
