Oh, I absolutely believe that the royal family was racist towards Meghan. Just that the prince/princess titles for their kids was already settled before Harry and Meghan even met - none of the Queen's great-grandchildren except William's get that title, because William is in the direct line of succession.

nayrt - Yes. This is what people don't seem to understand. Racism is definitely a factor in many of the things that have happened to Meghan. But there's zero evidence that it's a factor in why her kids didn't get royal titles, and there's plenty of solid evidence that racism isn't a factor in this specific situation.

Unfortunately, a lot of people who don't know any better believed Meghan and Harry when they implied that racism was the reason behind the lack of royal titles. It feels like a deliberate strategy, one that's clearly worked on some people here.

Nah I'm just sick of the UK not admitting it has a fucking racism problem, just as bad as the US but more insidious. Acting like those kids aren't viewed with any racism at all is bullshit and you know it. OP's a lily white person who's never experienced a day of racism in their life and is trying to cry that UK is soooooo racism-free.

The UK absolutely has a racism problem (and I say that as a lily white Brit), but the semantics are different to the situation in the US. Not that it makes it any better - it's just as bad, just with a different history/
