i sorta understand what you're saying. even my mom has gotten better at predicting plots. bingeing media has especially made it quicker to get bores of something. but...sometimes I'm surprised and I would go through a lot of the repetitive stuff, to get that little pleasure of something hitting different.

that said, have you tried a different culture's media or lit? sometimes they don't have the same tropes and the same tropes don't have the exact same impact.
