YMMV but I enjoy being able to predict where a show goes, and if it follows along the narrative path that it should I like that because it's so satisfying to watch. I'm not a fan of shock-value tbh and I'd rather shows stick to a plan, even if it's predictable, than veer off into wack-ass territory because 1. fans sussed it out online or 2. to be 'subversive'. Just give me an enjoyable story even if I have seen it before with different characters.
