So, to start off: I kind of want to high-five about half of today's secret-makers. There's some awesomely cool goodwill for fantastic fandoms here today.

105. The best villains have a kind of animal magnetism, an attraction which despite their evil ways one cannot deny. I'm not sure if I'm attracted to Khan, but I do know that I find his look aesthetically pleasing. It's one of the many reasons I've seen Wrath of Khan at least twenty times this year.

112. I'm surprised that wasn't one of the original dream sequences. And it would guarantee that Nancy would wake up screaming. Oh man, I miss Awesome Eighties Heather Langenkamp.

116. Wait, is that Raul Esparza? Fantastic!

126. I loved Ben-Stiller-through-Mystery-Men Janeane Garofalo. This new self-righteous one isn't doing anything for me.

144. The scarf is love, isn't it? Tom Baker was fantastic, but I do think it was partially the scarf's fault.

152. I think I do too. And it makes total sense, right? Hyperactive, silent French prophet and time travel-friendly Cowboy together in San Dimas. I always did wonder what happened between the concert and when Rufus came back with the Princesses.

158. When I was four years old, I built a proton pack out of cardboard and vacuum cleaner parts. Then I found some sunglasses that were way too big for me and I reenacted everything Ray Stanz ever did. You're not alone, OP; I do think that if you were born at any point during the eighties you wanted to be them at some point during your life.

105 OP

YESSSS. Like, I think he's ridiculously attractive but I still know he's super evil and all. :D 20 times this year, already?!

Definitely in the last 365-day period! It's my go-to happy movie.

You know what's funny, though? In Space Seed he's not so evil, but not as stunning. He looks positively reserved with his red tunic and ponytail. When he's been driven insane on Ceti Alpha V and his chest gets all ripped, that's when he's awesome.

I don't know what that says about me, liking the psychopathic more than the merely malevolent.

That's awesome. I don't own it, unfortunately, otherwise I probably would have watched it that much too.

I AGREE! Somehow he just got way awesomer after he got crazy. Yay psychos!

OP, you have to own the DVD! Especially if you've never seen Nick Meyer's director's cut. Superior in every way to the theatrical, from the extra bits on Regula One to the entire subplot with Scotty's Nephew. Makes the film that much better with only three minutes of extra footage.

Of course, I could babble on about the ABC television version where we find out that Saavik is half-Romulan and which starts the David-Saavik romance in the last few minutes, but it's been so long since that one has made it to air that I couldn't speak with authority.

My Trek movie DVD collection is whatever I find at Walmart. I got I, III, and VI for a grand total of 15 bucks, and it's the ones with the two disks and everything. I'm searching my ass off for TWOK and the others ;__; I can't find them ANYWHERE in my city and Amazon just has the boxsets unless I buy used from a third-party.

Nah, it's Jeffrey Dean Morgan. :)

D'oh! Now that I look at it again, it was a trick of the mind. Same suit, same stubble.

Nope, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, aka, Javier Bardem's American twin. (Or is Javier Bardem JDM's Spanish twin? Hmmm.)

All three of these guys look too much alike to me. It's like Bill Paxton/Bill Pullman/Jeff Daniels all over again.

I'm gonna say Javier Bardem was the first, just for convenience's sake.

I was born in the '70s, and I still wanted to be one of them. Or at least date Egon.

I probably should have extended that timeline for anyone who was perfect impressionable age when the original was in theaters; I think 1970-1987 is the range for "I still want to be a Ghostbuster." And Spengler is obviously incredible.

(Tell Venkman about the Twinkie.)

Yeah, I'm probably going to get the new video game when it comes out, even though I suck at non-turn-based video games, just to get the new semi-canonical dialogue. Ackroyd, Ramis, and Reitman own my ass. :-/
