The closest I have ever come to self-insert Mary Sue fic is this dream I had once where I was Aya's daughter and he got killed and I had to avenge his death with a katana while wearing a lot of black leather. I too, randomly came around to Ginny just as the fandom decided to hate her, after I hated her all through all of the other books (mostly for the same reasons I hate fredgeorge: she's a bit of a bully), but then in HBP(?) it managed to swing around into absurdity and I liked her again. 102. As long as you don't make a big deal about it or yell at people for not agreeing with you, you should be fine. (Is the fandom bicycle Katara or Zuko?)

127. I didn't like it, and I am usually a fan of Joss's work. But the concept is really skeevy, and it wasn't really that good, at least by the first episode (which granted sometimes shows buck up, but even by pilot standards I thought it was sub par)

However, I will give it a few more episodes to see whether it picks up but I lack hope for it.

135.) That book was AWFUL. Really AWFUL. It has another Mary Sue with lots of SHIATTY world building. SMeyer needs to stay away from SciFi. Though that book is barely SciFi...it was another shiatty romance novel.
