110. I kind of see it, but not in the shipping way. He is the reason Ben turned evil and killed his whole family. A lot of people seem to forget that Richard seems to be in complete control (after "Jacob", I suppose). The man was in charge of both Ben and Widmore, after all.

Now that, we don't know. I do not see Richard as being The Devil who Corrupted An Innocent. Ben had a choice, and he made it. We don't know what other things occurred in his life to make him so cruel.

It doesn't have to be slash. I'm saying I've seen all of... what, two fics between them in ALL OF FANDOM? This is a man who Ben has known all his life. He's grown up with this idea that there's something better out there, some magical man out there who'll save him. And then, when the time comes, he becomes his teacher and his advisor. I think that dynamic is fascinating.

I never saw a problem with Jasmine being a princess. Also, while I'm a big fan of ballgowns, she would look weird in one simply because the area and time period she lived in did not have that sort of attire. I don't like it when Mulan and Esmerelda are included, though. Neither of them are princesses by birth or marriages. I mean, if they wanted to call it the "Disney Heroine Group" or the "Female Disney Character" group, then whatever, but it's the Disney Princesses. :| It also makes me glad they didn't include Giselle. While I love Giselle to pieces, she's not a princess either.

FYI, although Disney did scrap pretty much every detail of Victor Hugo's canon except "um there was a hunchback and a cathedral and this one crazy priest guy," in the original novel, Esmeralda is technically a princess, being the adopted daughter of Clopin, King of the Gypsies.

101. I just do that 'cause I've always thought it was cool to walk, read, AND know where the hell you're going.

115. Though I have nothing against marriage/hook-ups, for a while I had a little bit of a problem with this too. Then I read the stuff at curiousinsane. Belle's in it (either engaged to/married to Prince Adam WHO REALLY ISN'T THAT UGLY YOU GUYS GEEEZ) and still having a life that doesn't have to do with living at the palace. But, you know, I see what you're trying to say. In almost every Disney movie, main-female-character has to hook up with someone. It'd be nice if that wasn't always being the case. SINGLE LADIES REPRESENT

130. Weeeell. From what I see, there is a bit of prejudice coming from both sides. Disney put Jasmine there for two reasons 1) her movie(unlike Pocahontas') was actually successful and 2) she's a *COC. For the first point, I'd love for Pocahontas, Meg, and Esme to be there but the fact is that their movies weren't as successful(I'm not saying they weren't at all) as the fist six. Also, even though Meg and Esme are technically princesses, they weren't established as such within any of their canons.
As for the second point, it does seem like tokenism on Disney's part. I prefer to lay blame on the fact that no *COC had been there before Jasmine arrived. BUT she IS a princess, she IS awesome, and she looks quite pretty in that dress-y outfit~ It'd be silly for Disney to leave out a successful, well liked(for the most part) character out of their line. So perhaps there might be a inner demons there? *shrugs shoulders* I'm not going to pretend to know enough , OP.
