hee hee! The cap is from when he gets MagicSexyDrunkDisease in Naked Now but it's a general ref to every time he goes stabbycrazy or gets replaced/possessed by a Baddie. He's averaging two or three times a year after a couple of series - why do they never think just to switch him off, wait a few seconds then reboot him? Problem solved!

I dunno, the Disney Princess Club depresses me a little. I sort-of see them as a little Heathers-type clique (Cinders is Queen Bitch, obviously, and Sleeping Beauty is her useless yet ubiquitous hanger-on BFF). Oh well. Daughter prefers Upsy Daisy to all those wasp-waisted pretties anyway.

I blame Wesley. Whenever he's on the ship, he's been abducted by half-naked yoga instructors, or he's feeling "weird, but also good!" By the time Data decides he needs to wipe out all human life, Wesley's off being stupid with Tom Paris at Starfleet Academy. It's too bad that he never imparted the wisdom of the "off button" to anyone else, like say Riker.

Ha! I would have never thought of them that way, but you're very perceptive with their social standing. I can imagine them at a high school for Disney characters, terrorizing the populace with their good looks and icy stares. I think Wendy Darling would be the Winona Ryder who finally brought them all down, killing off all the Princesses until she's the number-one female in Disney. And for no reason at all I'm envisioning Mr. Toad and Goofy as running the AV Club, which amuses me to no end.

There is nothing in this big, bad cosmos that cannot be blamed on Wesley Crusher: the Ultimate SpaceGit. I'm sure Riker knows about the off switch - that's why he always stands so close to Data at Ops with his foot actually on the side of Data's deskstand so that his Mighty Alaskan Groin is practically rubbing against the poor robot's back - he's had a bet on with Picard for years that he can switch Data off using only his left testicle.

I always thought Cinders would have a massive chip on her shoulder as a Princess - you know, since she's from the gutter and all that. I bet she treats her servants like shit because she doesn't want people to think she can still be seen as one of the lower orders. Snow's different - I can see her snapping and turning her back on humanity in general since it was the human Royal court who betrayed her. In my head she ran away from married life and is living as a Dwarf - all matted pigtails, hobnail boots and workworn hands. Snow White's the Rebel.

Speaking of icons, after I stopped laughing so hard that I was drooling, I had to make one out of your Riker statement. How is it that I've been watching this show for eighty-eight percent of my natural life and I always thought that was perfectly normal? Data could file a molestation claim with Starfleet with how close Riker gets. I wonder if Frakes and Spiner had a bet on that, seeing who would be the first to flinch over seven seasons of Riker-humping.

Riker only does it to Data because every single Ensign on the ship has filed for a Restraining Order against him. I always imagined a moment would come after Data's got emotions where he gets the Riker-crotch in the small of his back one too many times and he completely flips out. 'Oh for the love of CHRIST, do they not have a natural sense of Personal Space in Alaska? HMM? BACK. THE. FUCK. OFF!!!'

There just had to be a time where The Spine turned around too quickly at the wrong moment and there was just that little moment of nose-on-penis frottaging. And they never spoke of it again.
