I saw this in the comment secrets thread and thought wow, can't believe someone did that and thought it was okay... and also can't believe that so many people hadn't heard of Susan Cooper's Dark is Rising, but that's another story. It's a shame because the cover art is very pretty?

I actually follow the artist on instagram (lenyan.art) which is how I learned about the existence of this novel in the first place. She put a sneak peak of the cover art in her stories and I just saw the title and my first thought was "wtf, does TDiR get a new fancy edition?" and I went down the rabbit hole from there. I only know the other series by the same author from hearsay (Captive Prince, a pretty classic rapey BL series afair).

I was one of the anons who had never heard of it lol. Then again my grade school was Christopher Pike, LJ Smith, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, etc. xD I think I missed the Arthurian craze bus.
