This reminds me of the fanfiction dilemma that keeps rearing it's head.

'I wanted to write something but someone's beaten me to it so now i can't because it's no longer a fully original idea'.

It's madness. There are no fully original ideas. We've been borrowing and building on peoples stories since we could speak. So a writer has released a book that shares a similar premise to another series. Good.

Never said it had to be 100% original. But if so many things are similar, I'd be worried about inviting a lawsuit, is all.

Just from reading the secret it's obvious that there's a whole lot more going on than a similar premise.
