Getting bent out of shape because the cartoon-style drawing that you're having strange sexual urges over may be of an underage fictional character is a fucking weird take. But if it makes you feel better, I sentence you to 24 hours in imaginary friend jail and 2 weeks of community service in Toon Town.

What would make me feel better is if you stopped responding to people in the way you've responded to me here. You're being condescending and invalidating, when it's actually none of your business if I feel comfortable, uncomfortable, or any other kind of way.

There are a dozen things you could've said to the effect of, "I don't think there's anything strange or wrong with finding that character attractive," and if it had been your intent to be kind or constructive you would've said one of those thing. But you chose to say something dismissive and kind of judgmental. So don't think you're being constructive when you do that. You're not. I don't mind having complex and ambivalent feelings about something that floats my boat. I mind having some condescending anon rando-splain to me why my feelings are wrong.

I'm sorry for the way you feel, and I realize that snarky comments don't help. But I do think you would have a better fandom experience if you could see how new and irrational (I mean that in a nonjudgmental way) these feelings are when it comes to fiction. For perspective, here's a F!S thread from 2015 about the same topic. https://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/1287561.html?thread=863962249#cmt863962249

It's about secret 11 so scroll up to read that first. Note the near absence of any shame or judgment. This used to be normal. It still should be.

Because of the attitude, the imaginary judge has also decreed that you must stay at least 500 feet away from all corporate mascots, art classes, and book signings.
