Bioshock (the games and book) is the best. Not only do you have people you meet and the general atmosphere/environment, there are audio journals through out the whole game that you can find to learn more about the fall of Rapture. The book is a prequel and it is awesome to see how connected the two are (people in the book have audio journals in the game).
