I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say exactly, some of the wording is confusing.

But I have recently had experience in fandom with fans who were so pro one specific character, they were seemingly anti everything and everyone else? And I understand where they're coming from, he is underappreciated by more casual audiences even though he's a great character. And he's black so obviously fandom's issues with racism come into play. I get why fans would get defensive. But they are so intense I had to take a step back from the fandom since they were making me start to dislike him.

Like, most people ship this character A with B. But it's only allowed(?) if the fic doesn't have x or y, and it has to include z. Fics with a focus on B definitely have to fit these rules. I don't think I've ever seen headcanons or discussions for B. And OMG, if you've ever shipped B/C, you're obviously an imposter. A/C is fine though. Obviously.

Ha, should have known. I usually ship more obscure stuff, but yeah MCU is probably too obvious.

But omg, sambucky shippers are wild. I love both characters still, and the ship, but the shippers..wtf
