This is probably not the most mature advice out there so apologies on my take on your situation based on this post alone, but, if you don't feel like working on Abby's fic then... don't? Next time they ask you can just tell them something along the lines of you thinking the story over/polishing some rough edges/insert excuse that helps you get them off your case until you feel like picking up their fic again, if ever. I get that you're trying to be nice to all of your friends and follow through with anyone but that's no justification for anyone to act that entitled towards you, especially with something that takes time and effort like writing fanfiction for them.

OP, thank you...

I'm just trying very hard to hit all of Abby's kinks and likes and preferences in this fic and I feel like my effort isn't being acknowledged properly. But that the same time, I know no one owes me any interest or praise so I shouldn't be fishing for it with my comments on the fic. But they didn't even ask for a preview or even say "oh yay!" or anything. Until they'd already turned me off the fic. :(
