I get the whole "Achilles' heel" tie-in, really, but I still spent half of "The Song of Achilles" trying to figure out if Patroclus was supposed to have a foot fetish or if the author had one and didn't realize it.

I'm currently reading the book ATM and I'm wondering the same. As someone who abhor feet in kinky settings, certain passages made me laugh out loud 'cause it seems like it's supposed to be sexy but I find foot fetish ridiculous.
