Er, just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

Maybe someday this will be less of a secret, but it's more this first part

I always thought the Percy Jackson series kids weren't that out there/different/enough stuff to get in trouble or be labeled ADHD outside of the "normal people can't see what's going on stuff." Like, they never seemed different to me than any other person in the way they were characterized besides having trouble in school.

Now, years later as an adult, I just got an ADHD diagnosis. I guess maybe it WAS good rep?

I started watching Word of Honour for the romance pairing. I kept watching because of the Scorpion King.

Wait, the Rock is in that? Well, now I'm definitely not going to watch it

I was pleasantly surprised by the changes made for the character because he wasn't much of an actual fully developed character in the novel. And I'm not great at watching dramas (I tend to lose interest fast) but I kept watching for him. Tbh, I thought he was the best part.

He's a pretty fun character tbh and I liked his Hot Lady Assassin entourage a lot as well.

The only time I was ever interested in the Transformers franchise was during the era of the Transformers Prime series. I get that the blocky clunky designs of the eighties are what most fans prefer (mainly out of nostalgia I assume) but I much prefer the more streamlined designs of Prime.

I briefly had a crush on Optimus Prime from the first Michael Bay movie.

I'm asexual myself but I wish some fellow asexuals would stop pretending to be some sort of persecuted minority for preferring Gen fanworks and not being into shipping.

SA and this is not part of the secret but I want to clarify that this isn't a dig at the OP of secret 5. I just have seen this a few times and especially from a former fandom friend who was very obnoxious about it and secret 5 reminded me of that.

Looking back, I really should have stopped being friends with you around the time you started writing Moomin slash. Everything went downhill from there.

I enjoy BL manga but I hate when they make live action versions of series I like because the actors never look anything like the original characters.

Especially when one or more of the characters is meant to be super tall and athletic, OR super short and skinny, and instead they cast carbon copies of what in the West would be considered incredibly average twinks for every role who have the exact same build and height as every single other actor in the show.

I can't blame them for it because I imagine the available pool of gay or willing to play gay actors to choose from in the first place is tiny, but it's like having someone's terrible fancasting come to life every time.

I really appreciate that they got several of the original English dub VAs for the remake of Shaman King, but I kinda wish that they had just recast everybody because I can’t get past how different Yoh and Ren sound compared to their original English voices.

Community, Annie/Britta is a really hot pairing but I can't read it without getting totally distracted with the thought that Britta might brag about kissing another girl once but I think she'd punk out of going all the way.

I am silently cheering Soojin's departure from (G)i-dle. Now we can get a comeback!

I will always be bitter about how bad Stargate Atlantis was. I wanted it to be good. I loved the original show and loved the idea of Atlantis. But I just found the characters (Well, the male characters mostly) so unlikable. John was clearly supposed to fit into the Jack role, but he was just obnoxious. And Rodney was even worse. And the best character, Elizabeth, was framed as a maternal boss figure in almost a bad way when she was right every single time. I couldn't make it past when she left because then there wasn't even anyone speaking the truth anymore.

Spoilers Ted Lasso

The recent christmas ep of Ted Lasso made me so happy!

Not because the schlock, they've teased that they would delve to the dark side of Ted a little bit and I wish they would get. there. already.

But because they let the schoolyard bully be "right" and still "wrong." Usually schlock of this sort will insist that the bully was shouldn't have said the thing because it was wrong; here the bully was still considered out of pocket but Phoebe really DID need help.

I enjoyed The Green Knight as an arthouse kind of movie, but I still wish it'd ended on a more hopeful happy note like the original story instead of basically on a cliffhanger. And I didn't hate the slow pace, but I wish I'd known to expect it going in.

I get the whole "Achilles' heel" tie-in, really, but I still spent half of "The Song of Achilles" trying to figure out if Patroclus was supposed to have a foot fetish or if the author had one and didn't realize it.

A friend convinced me to start watching Atypical just by telling me about the Adélie penguin mating dance.

I don't believe in cringe.

If you, a stranger, are embarrassed by something uncool but harmless that I, another stranger, is doing, that is 100% your problem and 0% mine.

I think the concept is all about social control, and mostly used against neurodivergent people.

During a recent "30 Rock" binge, I was reminded that IDGAF about Jack Donaghy's love life. At. All.

The nonsense with his girlfriends, especially that "will Jack choose Avery or Nancy" crap, is boring and irritating AF. "30 Rock" is supposed to be wacky workplace sitcom, not a damn soap opera.

I love Wattpad

I discovered this after I found a rare well-written fic there, and was hooked by the unique comment system. Seeing these teens joke, meme, self-deprecate, and gush over the characters as I read the fic was so enjoyable! It helped me through a particularly bad depression spike.

Now I look for new fics there just to read the play-by-play comments. I don't even care if the fic is good.

I consider myself a huge comic book/superhero fan.

I haven't bought a floppy in almost 10 years.

I have 16+ file boxes full of single issues comics in my closet right now, I straight up cannot store any more so I read online and through my library. Occasionally I buy a trade. I'm letting my LCS down and I'm sad.
