You ever get see pictures or gifsets of a show or movie and when you see the source material you're disappointed by how their voice actually sounds?

I've been dumbfounded by what the source material actually is. Like some gifsets make things look dramatic, homoerotic and quality but the actually material is none of the above.

That's how I got duped into watching Supernatural. All those gifs promised eye fucking and then I watched it and it was literally them just staring intensely because of some crazy shit happening, not because they wanted to fuck each other.

Mostly surprised - like I just finished watching Gravity Falls and had been seeing menes/gifsets of the characters going all the way back to the early days of tumblr, and did not expect the kids the sound the way they did.

I've never been surprised by voices, I don't think, but I know I was under the distinct impression that Sherlock was like university-age when I first started seeing screencaps and gifs from BBC Sherlock. It was actually the first thing that caught my attention about the show. I was like, "So it's Sherlock Holmes...but modern day...and Sherlock is a Uni student?" He looked so young in S1! (I loved that, and then was promptly disappointed when BC aged like 15 years in the next 5 years. Not that he aged badly. He just stopped looking like a 22-year-old.)
