Re: What are some of the most annoying fic things you hate?

But second person POV is just, ugh WHY??

Because I want full immersion!!! I, ANON, WANT TO BE ON THE ADVENTURE! Lol

I'm not a fan of 1st POV (with VERY few exceptions) myself, but I'm always glad to see there's a little something everyone in fandom. What do you like about first POV? Or at least the ones that you found to be good?

I don't really like anything about first person POV, I don't think, it just isn't such a negative for me that it completely ruins a fic if that fic has a lot of other good qualities.

Whereas no amount of good writing can overcome second person for me. Also, I HATE the thought of being involved in the story. I mean, different strokes and all, but yeah, I just cannot stand self-insert stuff. So second person for the purpose of self-insert or reader fic is even more off-putting for me than second person POV that is being used simply to be...idk, arty or whatever.

I say that as someone who wrote a lot of ~arty~ second person fics in my late teens. In fact, I think the POV I wrote the least in my teens was third person, which is now overwhelmingly my favorite. Smh.
