I'm looking forward to one coming out in October, myself. Always good to be excited for BOOKS.

I am sort of looking forward to my trip in October. Mostly feeling anxiety due to uncertainty of if it will have to be canceled or not.

Publishing my first original novel. It’s all ready, I just have to hit the button.

Finally being able to go back to a movie theater again. Hopefully in time for Eternals and Dune, though I doubt it.

The Amazon Tolkien series. Can't wait.

All the other big fantasy shows coming soon. Wheel of Time, etc.

Having enough disposable income to afford a new Ipod. I may be able to buy it in a month, fingers crossed. I miss having an Ipod and getting to store gigs and gigs of music and listen to all of it.

The first time I get to do an individual hearing in court. My hearings so far and for the next few months are masters. I'm excited for the opportunity to get to fully present a case in court.

my housemate going to Disneyland next month. I'm so tired of having her around 24/7 and I'm dreading the possibility her office goes permanent wfh. I need a very small amount of personal space to stay sane and I can't even get it anymore. At least I'll have a week alone and she gets to Disney. better California than Florida right now.

Having a working fridge. The big local native plant sale going back to in-person (they had a limited number of online purchase slots last year and filled them all before I bought anything). Naomi Novik's new book coming out. Having time to garden again. Halloween.

idk. Hard to look forward to anything that has no guarantee of happening. I certainly hope for things to happen though, like the Covid infection rate dropping and worse variants not popping up like wildfire. I really want to have a life again. But I'm basically living like it's 2020 all over again because I don't want to get sick or get anyone else sick.

I dunno if you'll even see this but, solidarity nonnie. I'm exactly on that same boat with the added component that it's been a year+ of waiting to go see my LDR partner, so the prospect of variants fucking shit up further is really hard to think of right now.
