No one can "Ethically" consume k-pop? But you're a k-pop multi stan? Really, that's how you're going with this?!

This sounds like you're angry about capitalism (fair) and are throwing it onto BTS for your own reasons. You mention that they are using their platform to spread goodwill and acceptance and that they're human but also that's bad because they will maybe possibly be imperfect or do something bad. But your only example about how they are problematic is that you once saw a clip where someone grabbed a fan's hair and ARMY didn't freak out about it?

I gotta say, I don't think you actually know much about them, if you did you could name off an actually problematic occurrence. I think this says more about you than anything to do with them.

And here is why we don't engage with ARMY. The fact you gatekept almost right away cuz I'm a multi. 😂 Y'all can't handle any nuance in terms of the entertainment industries. You think it's always just so specifically and ONLY about BTS. And as if we're saying all of this with malicious intent.

We don't know what these labels, management teams, idols are capable of or what they do behind closed doors/when the cameras are off. And I mean this as a general statement. These idols and the people that keep the Kpop industry running, they're all human beings, meaning they are capable of doing bad things and making mistakes.
Just because they have fame and wealth doesn't mean that they're somehow better than the rest of the world or absolved from real life consequences.
And I recognize, this does not mean it's filled with bad people. Just, please be aware that humans are not perfect. Good people can do bad things.

I feel like ARMY can often forget this and go too hard on instantly defending BTS/their fandom. It raises concerns to me because without allowing room for bad things to be bad, bad deeds can go unaddressed and unfixed, and it can fester. And at the end of the day, you hurt your fandom more than protect it.

Please understand, I don't think BTS are bad people. I don't think ARMY are stupid or all bad.
What is going on with BTS goes on with other groups/idols and other labels. I want to emphasize this because when a group/idol comes under fire it doesn't mean it's instantly someone maliciously attacking them as well as I'm not trying to say this because I think my groups/idols are better.
I want the Kpop industry to do better. Treat the fans better. Treat the idols better. Treat the hardworking staff better. Change the fucked up standards in the industry.

I think BTS is just like any other KPop group. They have their good sides and their bad sides. I feel like BTS/BigHit are just as entangled in the bad sides of the Kpop industry as any other group/label, and it can be frustrating seeing them be heralded as something else. Take with that what you will, but I'm not an anti and I'm not retracting my opinions on BTS/ARMY. 🤷🏻‍♀️

NAYRT

I'm not into kpop at all, and only know what I happen to see from stans who I share other fandoms with, so from an unbiased perspective, you are the one who is making yourself look in the wrong. You started with the base assumption that AYRT was a BTS stan, and it's obviously only because they disagreed with you, because they never said or indicated anything about whether they even like BTS. And your extremely lengthy diatribe comes off as very holier-than-thou, assuming that AYRT doesn't know anything about how the kpop industry works when they also never said anything to that effect; they merely pointed out your hypocrisy in labeling yourself a kpop fan while also claiming it's impossible to do so ethically. You really come off as thinking you're the only somewhat "good," ethical kpop fan by assuming you're the only one who even knows the industry is unethical, and that gives you the right to look down on and make other assumptions about other fans and what they like.
