IMO, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Writers get too much crap over not writing for the sake of Art, or to fulfill some inner purpose and they get criticized and called selfish and entitled for enjoying feedback or even needing it to cheer them on. (And YES, this happens - and NOT just to authors who are truly entitled and do stuff like hold chapters ransom.)

Again: There is nothing wrong at all with needing encouragement to create on a regular basis. Anyone who tells you differently is just being a jerk.
