My workplace lets me listen to CDs and has a bunch of books on CD. A lot of them are Dean Koontz. I heard his stuff is batshit so I picked up What the Night Knows.

It's...pretty batshit, lol. And surprisingly preachy about Christian values? Lmao.

My favorite Koontz books are Phantoms, Watchers, and Intensity. Read my first ever sex scene in a Dean Koontz book.

That must have been interestingly formative for you lmao. I honestly am really digging his writing style though so I'll check and see if they have any of those. I know they have a bunch.

Definitely check out The Watchers. It made me cry when I was a young teen and read it.

Seconding the Watchers. I think it's the only book of Koontz that I thought was legitimately good. Still has some preachy christian values, but doesn't warp the narrative like other two books I read of his.
