162. Right, right. God forbid somebody be interested in a foreign culture, particularly one whose cultural output they appreciate. I mean, we all know that people who visit Britain to study Shakespeare, or Finland for the Kalevala, or Israel for the Bible are total weeaboos. So, if somebody is interested in, say, The Makioka Sisters and decides to visit Japan, those of us who are ENLIGHTENED enough to sit at home and just absorb the pop culture without any interest in where it comes from are perfectly entitled to look down upon them! Give it a rest. I'm American by birth and fully intend to spend most of my adult life in Britain and in Japan. Because I APPRECIATE THOSE CULTURES. Therefore...I am a weeaboo who must be punished? Well done. Well fucking done.
