I was starting college in 2010 and I had the time then. Some of the fics I read now are also written by college students (presumably, as they talk about finals and what not). Some of them may also have the time now. And many of them grew up on Tumblr, so the activity/participation may look different. I wasn't on Tumblr, but i was aware that's where to go for gifsets or bingos, whatever. LJ was fading. Forums were dying.
