My own poor phrasing. My goal was to express my own feelings and discuss someplace where the fallout wouldn't affect me directly--my RL or my journal. So yes, I was trying to be inflammatory in that I wanted responses--but I wouldn't say I intended to troll, as trolling seems to imply I'm aiming to insult/frustrate, which I'm not. I've tried to be polite in my responses here.

And as a side note, I never said anything about my own maturity. ;P

So, yes, that is what you did.

You may not have said anything explicitly about your own maturity, no, but the very fact that you are judging other people about their maturity level implies that you're somehow placing yourself on a higher level.

If you don't realise either of these things, then you need to seriously put some thought into the way you communicate with people, because you are most definitely not coming across the way you think you are.

I'll definitely agree that that's the response I got, whether I wanted to initially or not.

No, but if you said you judged everyone who liked that particular song or artist or style of music, you'd be implying that your tastes are somehow superior.

Which, again, is exactly what you've done here: Declared yourself superior to just about everyone that follows this comm. Whether you intended to do it or not isn't the point; you still did. If I were you, what I would take away from this is that perhaps, in future, you should think more carefully about how you say things, and what the possible impact of those things will be.
