Cat-sitting for my friend who's away for the long weekend. It's a nice gig: gorgeous house with a pool & jacuzzi, a fully stocked bar, don't even have to feed the cats or scoop litter because they have automated things to do that... just keep the cats company.

I used to get a little bummed being here ("sigh, I will never have a house this nice because I'm a loser" etc.) but now I just enjoy the amenities... and be thankful I don't have all the upkeep.

Whenever i get the sadness/jealousy of not owning a fancy house or apartment, i remember the cost and upkeep (even if you hire cleaners) and the fact that i can only be in one place / room at one time. What do i want with a double digit no. of room as a single cat lady?
And then I'm back to being satisfied with my living situation
