It seems like the rise of “you’re a dick if you correct someone’s spelling on a story they posted for free” would lead to less correct spelling on stories posted for free. Not a value judgment, just an observation.

In my personal opinion, "sapphic" the word as it exists in isolation is a very dry, classical, reserved word. It makes you think of Cambridge between the wars, and archaeological digs, and things like that. But "sapphic" as it's actually used is neo-romantic, emotive, drenched in affect and feeling. And those two things are totally at odds and it feels very awkward and weird.

But that's just my personal opinion.

Sometimes people like that don't deserve an acknowledgement or a reply - especially under a fic that has been correctly tagged. They're idiots that just want to fight and not put that energy into writing their own fic (or just want to bully people with different ships into liking their own :P)
