for "problematic ships" discord is the new forum. You can a) probably find the ship you like, b) be semi-private about your likes and c) not really have to deal with the people who think it's "problematic" when you just want to squee.

I do the same thing, I just pretend I don't know much about shipping or shipping discourse, just to be sure. I also do this for ships I think could be embarrassing, like rarepairs or crackships.

Sometimes people like that don't deserve an acknowledgement or a reply - especially under a fic that has been correctly tagged. They're idiots that just want to fight and not put that energy into writing their own fic (or just want to bully people with different ships into liking their own :P)
