Best Fanfic Spelling Errors

Did someone's talk-to-text program swap out random b's for p's to devastating effect? Did a homonym in the perfect spot make you giggle at a character's funeral? 'Fess up!

Personally, I'll always remember the scene where a character was thinking about malaria and couldn't believe that a devastating disease could be caused by one little misquote.

Can I mention one of my own? Because it makes me laugh, though I've corrected it now that a kind reviewer pointed it out.

I had:

'Dishes were dying by the sink.'

Obviously I meant 'drying' and I fixed it immediately once told but I'd proofed that chapter three times over and it still snuck through because it was just one letter off.

Now I giggle whenever I leave dishes by the sink. Ah yes, my dying dishes...

Didn't help that it was, at best, a mediocre fic.

I giggled the whole way through a fic once where lab was consistently spelled lap. Honestly, though, there's something endearing about those kinds of goofs in a fic. It's like - there's a whole-ass person behind this novel-length fluffy porn and sometimes their spellchecker misses shit and that's kind of amazing.
