Betas are pretty hard to come by if you're new to the game. In a lot of fandoms, there are a couple of BNFs who have taken on the "fandom mom" role. If you've got one of those, you can always ask them how to find a beta and hope they'll throw you a line.

However, fandom at large is a lot more forgiving than this thread would have you believe. It's a problem if the spelling errors make it hard to figure out what you were trying say or if they're so prevalent that it's a constant distraction. But the occasional misspelled word is just a thing that happens. Sure, you're going to get random assholes dragging you for spelling their as thier in the second line of the fifth paragraph in chapter four, but that sort of pedantry is thankfully on the way out.
