for "problematic ships" discord is the new forum. You can a) probably find the ship you like, b) be semi-private about your likes and c) not really have to deal with the people who think it's "problematic" when you just want to squee.

DA My question too. People with kinks that are commonly targeted by antis don't advertise their servers. It's word of mouth only and that means you have to risk asking in a more general fandom space which is risky.

The only problem with Discord is that it doesn't allow "underage" content. (Scare quotes because everyone seems to have a different idea of what constitutes as underage: i.e. characters without a canon age, aged-up characters; and I don't know where Discord draws their line.)

I don't think they do draw a line, like most social media companies that's there so that they don't get sued, imo. Or rather, i should say we'll find out where they drew the line when credit card companies refuse to back them because they're not cracking down on actual child porn.
