4 is a repeat, I believe!

And to 10, I so, so agree. ._. which is why I keep my writing journal to myself.

1.I LOVE TOONAMI T_T
2. Me too. D=
9. Me too D+ Actually, I don’t think I’ve tried. It just pops up.

1.) Ahh, the halcyon days when Cartoon Network actually rocked. We will miss them so.

1. Moltar was the best T___T Imisshim. I still remember most of the show introductions he'd say X3

3. I feel the same way a lot of times. If I get into a series, I'd rather it be because I'm interested, not because someone else is telling me about it.

Sooo many people are complaining about RPers...wow. Talk about discouraging others from RP-ing in the future XDDDD

1. OUTLAW STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR
7. That scene touched me too. I AWW'd to death. T____T

[identity profile] anigirl15.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
1. OH GOD YES. I used to love Toonami. My standards haven't gotten higher, I think the shows they have now just kinda suck in general. I have the old stuff on VHS. I still watch them.

[identity profile] respects.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
1) I've been missing Sailor Moon and Outlaw Star terribly *____* Toonami is really stupid now D:

[identity profile] dr-ghost.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
I was thinking that o0;;;

In honesty though, I get intimidated by a lot of RP these days, which is... really sad because I LOVE to RP and have no idea where to start if you're not already in the scene on LJ as it were. It feels like so long since I was involved in a decent fandom RP because it HAS been so long.

Btw, hi! I know you :D

Ahh, I miss old sk00l RP with those plot things. I used to RP in Yahoo rooms (OH GOD THE SHAME) and with small personal groups but since then I kinda drifted and never really found the loop again... Assuming there was another loop, of course.

Honestly, are there ANY 'plots' out there aside the "Your character is thrown into a school/island/porn store* with many other characters. HOW WILL THEY REACT?! WHAT WILL HAPPEN?!" thing these days? =/

I clearly do not mind the butting-in, for it is good for healthy interaction :D

2. I don't think that an artist has to be better than another in order to have a fandom, they really just have to supply something people want. I won't name names here but there are several insanely popular artists on dA and elsewhere who have insane pageviews and rabid fans, and their own fandom more or less ... and their art really isn't that good -- one of them most recently was caught tracing art and subsequently banned from Y!gallery. It's sad. There's so much art out there that it's difficult to become known through art alone. Talent sometimes gets overlooked for how marketable something is. Don't let it get you down if it does. I used to get depressed as far as fanart goes years, but really you can't take it personally. I draw because I enjoy it.

6. Exactly. I don't care how well you can make them sound like the character, if you're saying stuff they would never, ever say. You're not RPing them well.

8. I have a lot of friends who share in this secret. Most of them it's the other way. I don't think anyone would think less of you for it if you let it be known, but that might be because I'm just so used to it now. Good luck! ^^

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
I DON'T KNOW, BUT IF YOU FIND ONE, TELL ME. I AM SO SICK OF THOSE TOO. D:

[identity profile] mercale.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
1. OMG I was just thinking that yesterday! I'm with ya!

7. I didn't cry, but I WAS moved.

10. It is a hard thing to do with any confidence. You get worried that people will hate you for blowing your own horn and such. I try not to self-promote.

11. *whimpers* I hope I haven't done any of this recently. I've been working so hard to make my stories suited to the NPCs. I would hate being disloyal to them. Would make me D:

12. Yeah... Been there, felt that.

[identity profile] dr-ghost.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
It's the holy grail of RP... maybe? =(

Way back when I wanted to try a Death Note based RP where the players had a Shinigami quota to make and they'd make it by "killing" (read: text-tagging) people on LJ between in character banter and spin-off plots but it never really got going and the person who was going to run it with me found other interests.

Plus... I can see the wank factor from here.

Still, as lame as the idea seems now, at least it was something for shits and giggles that was more unique sounding than the stuff around lately =x;;;;;

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
YES.

Me, I love like, AU plots... you know, like, you change the character to fit the universe (and they've always been there) instead of like, oh noes worlds combined and we're lost omg! your world has magic lolz! crack! the "magic" in the world makes events happen! people randomly do OOC stuff because of it! or something. *eventual death of rp when that gets boring*

It's just... EVERYWHERE. But it seems so hard to get people interested/to get them to stay interested in anything else. >>"

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
We COULD if RPs didn't DIE on us all the time 'cause everyone else gets bored of the crack and leaves 'cause we never pay attention to the crack anyway!

I should look into this 1:1 thing. How do you go about like, randomly starting one? *dies*

[identity profile] dr-ghost.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
I don't mind much of anything, as long as everyone has fun and keeps things in character whenever it's fitting.

AUs can be a lot of fun if done well, but I find people just sometimes forget that AU does not instantly mean an OOC RP and it's hard to explain the difference to people. I love the idea of twisting a character around and thinking "Well, if this is how they would be in their original setting, how would they be in THIS kind of setting and how would I play it effectively?"

You're absolutely right though about how difficult it is to keep interest going. I'd love to see/start a RP more like that, but the fear of not finding a concept that would consistently bring plot ideas, keep people interested and keep new players them coming keeps me from that. Sob.

[identity profile] grayout.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
WE SHOULD START ONE. I WOULD PLAY.

And total agreement with the AU != OOC thing. I love doing the twisting them and giving them different backgrounds to-suit-the-setting thing -- as long as those backgrounds lead to like, the same personalities and stuff.

WHAT ARE YOUR FANDOMS.

[identity profile] dr-ghost.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
People just want crack, and we want ACTION. Hell I'd be more than happy to play a proper developing friendship than one with crack reactions -anyday-

GOOD GOD, YES!! OH HOLY CRAP! ♥ WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THAT KIND OF RP?! I miss it like WOAH.

[identity profile] dr-ghost.livejournal.com 2007-03-23 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
I think I may steal you both forever :D
