UGH, PREACH. I think it's gotten slightly better recently -- or maybe just in my fandoms -- but it's still there, and it's irritating. There are a lot of awesome female characters. There's NO NEED to be vicious towards them just because they are female and might pose a risk in canon to your OTP. Really? REALLY really? There's no logic to that.

Then the correct secret would be "I hate how people portray him in slash, because his characters does a 180 and the writing sucks" not "HE'S NOT GAY! HE'S HARDWORKING AND HAS A DEEP VOICE!"
