101. Well, I...like their female characters all right? The ones I've seen, anyway; there are a lot of Pixar movies I haven't seen. But I do agree it would be really nice if they'd have more female characters in non-romantic roles (wasn't there one in Finding Nemo? I didn't see that) instead of as the Spunky Love Interest, as fun as she can be.

103. You're going to get a lot of shit for phrasing that so strongly, but honestly, if you spend long enough in the worst parts of slash fandom, it's hard not to start feeling like that.

You might want to go hang out with femslashers for a while, though. A lot of them ship m/m as well sometimes, and while I make no claims for whether they are "smarter" or "cooler" than m/m slashers, I do find that they're less likely to have rage-inducing attitudes towards other women.

Ironically, I left a femslash fandom because of they were constantly bitching about other women. The fact that they were picking on fangirls instead of female characters didn't really make it any better.

Sorry, but I'm tired of femslashers being portrayed as a superior form of fan and femslash fandom as some sort of utopia.

Apparently, I can't recount my own experiences with femslashers without my words being twisted into "femslashers are superior fans and femslash fandom is some sort of utopia."

I didn't say they were superior fans or that femslash fandom was some sort of utopia. Just that the ones I hang out with, as a whole, have less obnoxious attitudes towards women, both fictional and real.

I think I was responding more to the overall attitude I've seen at f!s (and a lot of other places) that femslashers are better than everyone else. As a bitter ex-fan, I'm just a little tired of that.
