It's like the game's like "WERE YOU EXPECTING MERCY!?" and everyone else is like "A LITTLE MORE THAN THIS, JEEZ D:".

I think I eventually said "screw it" to my style score, stood at the back of the room, and just shot him to death. Cheap, and it takes for-freaking-ever, but it did the trick.

Oh man. I love how Capcom was like "WELL, ALL OF YOU WANKERS ARE ALWAYS COMPLAINING ABOUT US GAMES BEING TOO EASY, SO WE DECIDED WE'D MAKE THE JAPANESE HARD MODE THE US NORMAL MODE. HAVE FUN! "

Same here. I was able to raise my style points up in later missions anyway. IIRC, I just jumped around the room using trickster to avoid his attacks and hit whenever I could. It took a while, but it got the job done.

I think Japanese developers must secretly hate us. Intelligent Systems did the same thing with Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, too. I'm really hoping it doesn't become a trend; controllers are expensive. ;_;

I think Fire Emblem has always been naturally "AUUUUUUUGHSZJDGSHJKHJSKBHGKRHSDG HJ RFG *chuck controller/GBA/DS at something*" though. At least for me, it has.
I love it anyway. :'D

I dunno though. I guess we deserve it for complaining that games aren't hard enough.

To OP: I think the special edition of DMC3 (With the option to play as Vergil) has the difficulty modes fixed to uh... not be Japanese hard mode as US normal mode.
