I'm not perfect. I'm face-blind most of the time, and I fucking refuse to look at Goodreads most of the time because the website refuses to load for me, and Wikipedia wasn't helping me. Native Americans being considered animalistic was a valid criticism that comes up on occasion, and I thought that's what everyone was in a hubbub about. Not an excuse for me being face-blind and being cringe mistaken, but I admit to my mistake. Don't actually call me racist, thanks.

Sorry about that troll.

I was actually about to say that I thought the mistake was totally reasonable. I had no idea about the author's ethnicity and in my experience, "Indian" is used somewhat commonly to mean Native American, depending on where you live.

Plus good on you for doing the research.

Yeah, I was about to ask what being face-blind had to do with it. I assume AYRT was referring to the cover illustration, which is a drawing of vague ethnicity. You could tell me that woman was South Asian, Native American, Latina, or even a tan white lady and I'd believe you.

the person who made a mistake

Thank you, you two. I really appreciate it. ;w; I probably could've done more research on the book before posting, but I honestly thought the book was about Native Americans based off the secret and vague artwork. My bad! The book does seem pretty interesting, and I still hope it's well-written. I might want to check it out later.
