Okay. So, your university almost certainly has some version of student health services/a student counseling center. Tomorrow, you need to go see them (or at least set up an appointment for next week). Tell them what you've told us - that you're overwhelmed and broke and crying because you're afraid of failing out of college - and ask them for help. Think about it - it is in the college's best interest for you to not flunk out, because once you're gone you are no longer a source of revenue. Also, it makes them look bad. Someone should be willing to help you out with this.

And remember, even if the worst happens and you do flunk out, you will be okay. Honestly, very few people in the world are even going to hold it against you that you dropped out during a pandemic. The broke thing still sucks. I don't know what your home/housing situation looks like and I don't know where you are so I don't know what the cost of living is there. But assuming you're in the US, even if you can't move back home/in with a friend or relative, an apartment and utilities are probably cheaper than room/board/fees at your university. And there are tons of jobs open right now, particularly if you're looking for part time or "not going to make a career out of this" stuffy, so you might even be able to save a little money while you're working things out.

That panicky "I've fucked things up and what do I do now" feeling sucks hard, but it's also a liar because this is just a setback. For right now, find something comforting to do and try to be kind to yourself.

Thank you so much for your kind words and your wonderful advice, anon. I just couldn’t see what I needed to do with how overwhelmed I was feeling. I’ll try and see if I can make an appointment tomorrow with counseling services and go from there.

Damn anon, everybody should have you there to give them this A+ coaching when they're going through it. Bravo!

Anon who's struggling, I agree with everything good-advice!anon said. Hang in there, go easy on yourself, and know that you're in very good company.
