152. Really hoping this is a troll. If it isn't: OP, I really hope you don't go spreading this around, because chances are your friend's suicide was not "because L died," whatever made you think that, though it might have been vaguely, tangentially related in some way.

My (thankfully unsuccessful) suicide attempt happened right after I accidentally dropped and broke a ceramic bowl. I did not try to kill myself because of a bowl. I tried to kill myself because I was fucked up in the head and I believed that my life was pointless and the future held nothing for me, and I had felt that way for a long, long time beforehand. I was already in one of my lowest, most vulnerable states when the bowl incident happened, and — because, as I said earlier, I was fucked up in the head - I subconsciously took it as a symbolic confirmation of everything I was already thinking, and out came the pills.

We've seen plenty of secrets here from people whose lives were saved by small, seemingly insignificant things. When people are on the very edge and about to lose it completely, they're vulnerable, and the weirdest things can tip the balance either way.
